Head in the Clouds

This is a really simple technique to learn using paper tearing.

Supplies:
Scrap pieces of cardstock
Cardstock (for background)
Cosmetic sponge (available at dollar stores)
Ink (I used VersaColor's Cyan #19)

Tear cardstock into cloud shape and place ontop of your cardstock you will be enhancing.

Dab sponge on ink pad. Using the light touch sponge clouds onto your torn paper edges. Make sure to sponge off the edge to get ink onto the background you are working with.

Move the cloud mask around so it doesn't form a repeat pattern. It is okay for your images to overlap some.

Repeat process until desired area has been covered.

By using different shapes, you can create water, sand, mountains, sky, and many other things, depending on your objective. Try this technique out and see what different ideas you can come up with.

Have fun with it!
