It is not a stupid question. I have used both, when I use photo paper the edges don't ink as well because of the finish. So I also use cardstock. But when you print, make sure to change the settings to either photopaper or premium paper for cardstock, that way the pics will print much nicer. Sometimes I get lines going thru my pics and this prevents that. Hope I didn't confuse you with all this.
